James Bond bobsledding the Schilthorn 1969
2010 30" x 30", oil on board and mixed media Owned by a private collector JAMES BOND “My name is Bond, James Bond!” One of the most recognizable lines in cinema history, and it was spoken on the mountain Schilthorn in Bond’s film “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” in 1969. The restaurant at its peak, Piz Gloria, displays Bond’s code 007. In the climax of this thrilling film Bond pursues his arch villain in a bobsled chase. I am sure that the degree of danger in bobsledding in 1969 or the 1920‘s is all relative to the actual participants if asked. |
