THE LOVE LETTER
The postcard is from Ostend Belgium, and was written in the 1930’s to someone in the United States where it was eventually found. The back of the postcard reads: “I stand often on this side of the ocean looking across to see you. I bet I was up before you today. Its earlier here hence later.” …and it continues on ending with the signature.
As Ever, The”old man”.Whether it’s his gaze across the ocean, and the visualization of what the other is doing at certain times of the day, it is quite simply their only recourse, a visual love affair.
